Interestingly, the talented production designer, who handled the production design for iconic films including Tumbbad and Kalki 2898 AD, opened up about Kamal Haasan’s character Supreme Yaskin. Interestingly, Nitin Zihani Choudary revealed that the legend’s character is not Kali, as the fan theories suggested earlier. The team conceived Supreme Yaskin as a ‘decaying figure’ who breaths and lives with the support of tubes. His body has glowing cracks, which shows his age and fragile physical state. However, the Kamal Haasan’s Yaskin is still extremely powerful. Director Nag Ashwin described him as a fallen God, who has two different sides, similar to Krishna. That is the reason why he succeeds in raising the ‘Gandeeva’ which is untouchable for humans and machines and recites a poem.

Kalki 2898 AD sequel to show 7 Complexes?

The Complex based on Kashi, is not the only the only one in the world of Kalki 2898 AD. Interestingly, Nag Ashwin and his team conceived Complex as the seven ‘upside down’ worlds which are based on the seven cities of the world. All the seven Complexes are led by Kamal Haasan’s character Supreme Yaskin himself. However, Yaskin and others like him report to Kali, the ultimate dark force who is waiting to eliminate the unborn Kalki.
