Kamal Haasan launches Indian 2 co-star Siddharth's Chiththa poster

Siddharth's next project is Chiththa. The first-look poster of the film, helmed by SU Arunkumar was launched today by none other than Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, whom Siddharth considers his mentor. Kamal Haasan launched the poster in style, all the way from South Africa. In a video shared by the production, the actor says, "Siddharth endeavours to do things differently, to take cinema that he loves in a unique direction. I wish my brother Siddharth a very happy birthday on the reveal of Chiththa. All the best to the team."

He added, "Chiththa is short form of Chithappa, which means father's brother. I am not going to give any spoilers and I think the film has an interesting premise. And I am very sure that Siddharth will do perfect justice for a theme like that."

Siddharth had earlier shared his excitement about Kamal Haasan wishing the team. He had written on his social media handle, "A DREAM COME TRUE My God of Cinema giving his blessing to our most ambitious film yet. Thank you universe. Kamal sir will reveal the first look and Title of our Production No. 4. Thank you so much great sir. Directed by the amazing S.U.Arun Kumar. This film carries so many hopes and dreams on its shoulders. Can't wait to share Arun's magical vision with you all (sic)."

In the meantime, the teaser of his next film Takkar was released at 6pm today. The film is directed by Karthik G Krish and is all set to hit screens on May 26. Siddharth is also working on a film with his Rang De Basanti co-star Madhavan. The film, which is billed as a sports drama, is titled Test, and will have Nayanthara as the leading lady. He will also be seen in Indian 2 along with Kamal Haasan.
