Kalki 2898 AD – Prabhas and Disha Patani shoot a special song; A major update is on its way

Prabhas, the Telugu superstar is teaming up with talented filmmaker Nag Ashwin, for his next outing Kalki 2898 AD. The movie, which is touted to be a dystopian science fiction thriller, marks the Telugu cinema debut of Bollywood star Deepika Padukone. For the uninitiated, popular actress Disha Patani is playing a supporting role in the film, which is now nearing the final stages of its filming.

According to the recent updates, director Nag Ashwin and his team members are currently busy filming some important portions of the film, featuring leading man Prabhas and Disha Patani. Interestingly, the star pair is appearing in a special song sequence in the film which is expected to hit the big screens in May 2024.

If the recent updates are to be believed, leading man Prabhas and Disha Patani are currently busy with the filming of Kalki 2898 AD at a location in Italy. The reports suggest that the team is planning to shoot a special song sequence, featuring the star pair in Italy, in a short schedule, which is expected to be wrapped up on February 25, 2024, Sunday. The makers are reportedly planning to drop a major update on the film by the first week of March 2024.

For the uninitiated, nothing much has been revealed about Disha Patani’s character in Kalki 2898 AD. However, the recent updates suggest that the actress is appearing in a key role in the highly anticipated film. Meanwhile, some unconfirmed reports suggest that Disha’s character in the film is more like an extended cameo appearance. She is expected to feature in some key scenes and a song sequence with Prabhas, in the Nag Ashwin directorial.

All about Kalki 2898 AD

Kamal Haasan, the veteran actor, appears as the lead antagonist in Kalki 2898 AD. Legendary Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan appears in a pivotal role. Pasupathy and Saswata Chatterjee play supporting roles in the film, which is expected to have director SS Rajamouli, Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, Vijay Deverakonda, Malayalam actress Anna Ben, and others in cameo appearances.

Santhosh Narayanan is composing songs and the original score for the project. Djordje Stojiljkovic is the director of photography. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao handles the editing. Kalki 2898 AD is bankrolled by the prestigious banner Vyjayanthi Movies and has been slated to release on May 9, 2024.
