The day has finally arrived! Kalki 2898 AD which has been in the making for long, has finally hit theatres on Thursday (June 27). Headlined by actor Prabhas, the film is directed by Nag Ashwin and also stars actors Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani and others.

However, adding to this star-studded cast, Nag Ashwin has packed in many surprises in Kalki 2898 AD for the audience. The filmmaker has roped in various known stars who make cameo appearances in the film. Read further with spoiler alert.

Here are those who make cameos in Kalki 2898 AD

As it is, Kalki 2898 AD boasts a star-studded cast with industry biggies like Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan playing prominent roles in the film. Further, it is also headlined by Prabhas, along with a cast comprising of Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Anna Ben, Shobhana, Pasupathy, and others.

However, that is not it. Nag Ashwin has left no stone unturned to make his latest film bigger. From what we have come to know, actors Vijay Devarakonda, Dulquer Salmaan, filmmakers SS Rajamouli and Ram Gopal Varma, have also made special cameo appearances in the film. Social media is flooded with clips taken from the film screening, showing glimpses of these actors. Further, actor Keerthy Suresh has dubbed for the character Bujji in the film.

Produced by Vyjayanthi Films, Kalki 2898 AD is said to have a sequel, with the first part ending on a cliff-hanger note. However, the makers have not yet announced the release date for the second part. Kalki 2898 AD is one of the most expensive projects ever made in Telugu cinema.

The film borrows concepts from the Hindu epic Mahabharat and is a futuristic dystopian drama. The film traverses through the time period of Kali Yug, one of the four cycles as per Hindu scriptures. Kalki 2898 AD has music by Santhosh Narayanan, and is shot by cinematographer Djordje Stojiljkovic. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao has edited the film.
