Nag Ashwin's sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD was released in theatres on 27th June 2024. The film has been getting an overwhelming response since its release. In the film, which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan in the lead, Big B's character is especially getting positive reviews and audiences are loving his performance and character in the film.
Today, on July 5, Sr Bachchan took to his social media account and penned a gratitude note as the film has been doing well at the box office as well. The veteran actor wrote - "T 5062 - the essence of KALKI resounds within and without .. and my gracious gratitude"

Kalki 2898 AD is inspired by Hindu mythology set in a post-apocalyptic world. The film is set in 2898 AD and revolves around Amitabh Bachchan's Ashwatthama, Deepika Padukone's Sumathi, Prabhas' Bhairava, and Kamal Haasan's Supreme Yaskin. Made on a budget of more than Rs 600 crore, the film has emerged as a box-office success with nearly Rs 800 crore worldwide.
