Magizh Thirumeni's Kalaga Thalaivan, starring Udhayanidhi in the lead, has been in the making for a while. The movie, which was billed as an action drama, hit the screens on November 18. The film opened to mixed reviews, though a few aspects like action choreography and screenplay were appreciated.

Its story revolves around a whistleblower who comes up with some smart plans to destroy a corrupt corporate company. How he pulls it off and what makes him go against the firm form the rest of the story. In a recent chat with OTTplay, director Magizh revealed that he was quite appalled at the manner in which whistleblowers have been killed in recent times, which made him weave a story around them.
K Dhillraj and NB Srikanth have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the movie which has stunt choreography helmed by Sakthi Saravanan. Srikanth Deva and Arrol Corelli have composed music.
Kalaga Thalaivan is now gearing up for its digital premiere. The movie will drop on Netflix on December 16. The makers had announced earlier that the OTT giant had acquired its digital rights. Kalaignar TV has bagged the film's satellite rights.
Magizh Thirumeni is yet to announce his next outing, despite speculation doing the rounds on him joining hands with Vijay. Udhayanidhi, on the other hand, will next be seen in Maamannan, which is likely to be his last movie as an actor.
