Sonakshi Sinha, Riteish Deshmukh, and Saqib Saleem's film Kakuda had its digital release on July 12, 2024. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar of Munjya fame, the spooky comedy premiered on ZEE5. It is also available for streaming on OTTplay Premium. Ten days after the release of Kakuda on OTT, the makers dropped a romantic melody, starring Sonakshi and Saqib. Titled Shukra Guzaar, the song has been crooned by Gulraj Singh and Aditi Paul.

ZEE5 shared a glimpse of Kakuda's song Shukra Guzaar, which is picturized on Sonakshi and Saqib. Their easy-breezy romance is the major highlight of this melodious track. The song also showcases some light-hearted moments between the two actors. While sharing the track on Instagram, the streaming platform captioned the post, "Get ready to swoon to melodies as beautiful as your love story. This is to falling deeper every day! #ShukraGuzaar song out now! Kakuda streaming only on ZEE5 (sic)."

For those who are unaware, Sonakshi, seen as Indira/Gomti, plays the role of Saqib aka Sunny's wife in the horror comedy film. The plot of Kakuda is about Indira/Gomti seeking ghost hunter Victor's (Riteish) help to save her husband from the ghost. Saqib's character Sunny is attacked by Kakuda in the film and gets a hump on his back.

Sonakshi Sinha on playing a double role in Kakuda

While promoting her film Kakuda, Sonakshi spoke about essaying a double role in Aditya Sarpotdar's movie. 

When asked about how she prepared for the same, the actress told Firstpost, "Honestly, I was doing sort of the heavier role, so to speak, and this came as a welcome break where I’m getting to play a girl next door. And a character which is completely different from her. So for me, it was like playing 2 people in it was actually me playing 2 people."
