After the success of Munjya, filmmaker Aditya Sarpotdar is ready to treat the audience to his new horror comedy film, Kakuda. The film stars Sonakshi Sinha, Riteish Deshmukh, and Saqib Saleem in the lead roles. Touted as a 'freakishly spooky comedy', Kakuda is scheduled for a digital premiere on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium. It will have its OTT release on July 12, 2024. Ahead of that, the streaming platform shared a promo of Kakuda that will send chills down your spine.

The promo of Kakuda begins with a character stating that ghosts have become boring nowadays. That's when Riteish Deshmukh's Victor makes a revelation about Kakuda. He reveals that Kakuda gives 13 days' notice before killing a person. This is followed by some unusual incidents happen in the Ratodi village. Sharing the promo on Instagram, the streamer wrote, "Interesting toh hai Kakuda, mardon ki tervi karwa ke maarta hai! AbMardKhatreMeinHai Kakuda premiering on 12th July, only on ZEE5 (sic)."

For the uninitiated, Riteish Deshmukh will be seen as a ghost hunter Victor in the Aditya Sarpotdar directorial. While speaking with IANS, Ritiesh said ghost hunters are often shown in a typical manner in movies. However, Deshmukh added that his character is Kakuda is quite different.
"Instead of the usual serious, intense ghost hunter, my character has a quirky, humorous side. His approach is unconventional; he is quirky and funny," said Deshmukh. He also said that Sapotdar has directed Victor's character in a way that it will entertain the audience. On a concluding note, Riteish mentioned that Kakuda is his first horror comedy film and it was an exciting journey for him to work on this movie.
