Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai turns 25: Hrithik Roshan shares his 27-year-old handwritten notes - 'I see these pages and realise...'

Hrithik Roshan made his big Bollywood debut with Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai in 2000. The film, directed by Rakesh Roshan, gave a great start to Hrithik as well as Ameesha Patel's acting career. Hrithik earned overnight fame and was regarded as an emerging star. On January 14, 2025, the film completed 25 years since its theatrical release. On this special occasion, Hrithik shared his 27-year-old handwritten notes on Instagram.

Hrithik Roshan on 25 years of Kaho Na... Pyaar Hai

Hrithik Roshan dropped a series of his handwritten notes on social media. The actor penned the notes while he was prepping for his Bollywood debut film, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai. On his film's 25th anniversary, Hrithik reflected on the time he geared up to work in the Rakesh Roshan directorial.

While sharing the notes, Hrithik captioned his post, "My notes from 27 years ago. Prepping as an ACTOR for my first movie Kaho Na Pyaar Hai I remember how nervous I was. Still am when starting a movie. I’d be embarrassed sharing these, but after 25 years of being in the industry I guess I can handle it Then to now, what’s changed?I see these pages and realise - absolutely nothing. Good thing? Bad thing? It’s just how it is. Only process remains. So much to be thankful for. So much to be grateful for. So much left to do (sic)."

The actor mentioned that he wishes to celebrate 25 years of Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai by going through the 'scribbles' in his rough book. "Only thing I am relieved about is the proof of resilience. The first page says “one day“ at the bottom such day happened, it never came. Or maybe it did but I missed it cause I was in prep (sic)," he added.

Meanwhile, Hrithik and Ameesha's film, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, is available for streaming on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium. The movie has also been re-released in theatres after 25 years.
