Hrithik Roshan-Ameesha Patel’s superhit film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai has completed 22 years in 2022. The movie released on January 14 in 2000 and became a milestone film for Hrithik. As the film clocks 22 years today, Ameesha shared a fun throwback photo of them from the sets.

One could see Hrithik and Ameesha being all smiles as they sat on a jet engine during their shoot in New Zealand. The lead actors actually spent some time around the sea, even in the movie. There was a shot where they were actually trapped on an island together. However, defying the fear of being isolated from the world, the two were smiles and jolly on screen.

While Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai became a milestone for Hrithik to the extent that he gave competition to Shah Rukh Khan, who was ruling as the ‘King of Romance’, the movie also became a stepping stone for Ameesha to rise in her career. She bagged Gadar: Ek Prem Katha opposite Sunny Deol, which released in 2001. Interestingly, the actress is currently shooting for the sequel of the superhit movie.

While Hrithik and Ameesha’s jodi was much loved in 2000, it stopped at the Rakesh Rohan directorial, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. When the two tried to collaborate again for Vikram Bhatt’s Aap Mujhe Acche Lagne Lage, the movie turned out to be a disaster and is counted among one of the more epic films which can be viewed only for laughs in today.Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai turns 22: Ameesha Patel gets nostalgic, shares unseen photo with Hrithik Roshan

Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai marked Hrithik’s debut in Bollywood. He happened to play a double role in his first film itself. The actor played the role of Rohit and Raj, which were two of the most popular names in Bollywood by that point. The latter was an on-screen name that became popular thanks to Shah Rukh Khan’s character in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ).

Gadar was the story of a Sikh man from India named Tara Singh falling in love with a Muslim Pakistani woman named Sakina. There is currently no update on what Gadar 2 has in store for fans of the film.
