Basil Joseph’s Kadina Kadoramee Andakadaham’s OTT rights were bagged before its theatrical release

Malayalam actor Basil Joseph is soon becoming one of the most dependable actors in the industry, with hits such as Jan-e-Man, Palthu Janwar and Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey. So, it’s no wonder that the streaming platforms are quick the grab the OTT rights of his upcoming movies.
His latest film Kadina Kadoramee Andakadaham’s streaming rights were picked up by Sony LIV even before its theatrical release on April 21. The film joins the list of Thuramukham and 2018 to stream on the platform in the coming months.
Kadina Kadoramee Andakadaham, which is helmed by debutant Muhashin and scripted by Puzhu writer Harshad, has Basil Joseph, Swati Das Prabhu, Binu Pappu, Fara Shibla, Jaffer Idukki, Indrans and Abhiram Radhakrishnan in pivotal roles.
The movie, set during the pandemic lockdown, revolves around an enterprising youngster who wants to start his own business to prove to his family that he can be successful in his hometown, without going to the Middle East. However, the lockdown poses a plethora of challenges that finally has him biting the bullet and deciding otherwise. Things get even tougher for him and his family when a personal tragedy strikes and he is forced to channel his never-say-die attitude to accomplish a seemingly impossible task during the pandemic for his mother.
In an earlier interview with OTTplay, Muhashin told us, “I don’t know how much the film will collect at the box office, but one thing I can surely say is that the actor in Basil amazed me and it will be the same for the audience as well. His performance has reached a level where he is proving that he can shoulder any character and not just those boy-next-door or comedy roles. That’s how good his portrayal has been in this film too.”
The movie stood out for its poignant scenes and brilliant performances. Kadina Kadoramee Andakadaham is expected to drop on Sony LIV in the second week of June.
