Kartik Aaryan underwent his physical transformation for Kabir Khan's Chandu Champion. Here's what the director had to say about the same.

Kartik Aaryan has left everyone impressed with his transformation for Chandu Champion. The actor had to undergo a physical transformation for Kabir Khan's film to portray the character of Murlikant Petkar, who is India's first Paralympic gold medallist. After the trailer of Chandu Champion dropped online, people have been talking about Kartik's performance in the movie. At the trailer launch of the movie, director Kabir also revealed how dedicated Kartik was to his character.
According to Hindustan Times, Kabir Khan spoke about Kartik Aaryan's transformation for Chandu Champion at the trailer launch. The event was held in Gwalior. The filmmaker mentioned Kartik naturally built his body and didn't use any substance. He stated that the ones who go to the gym, know how much steroids get misused.
Coming back to Aaryan's physique, Khan added, "And you can see how his body looks on screen. Fit aur healthy body aisi dikhayi deti hai. It’s almost next to impossible task that Kartik has managed to pull off. We snatched away all his favourite dishes." Earlier, Kabir had revealed that Kartik reduced his body fat from 39 per cent to 7 per cent.

A few days ago, Kartik spoke about playing an Indian Army soldier in Kabir Khan's Chandu Champion. It is one of the many facets of his character's life in the film. He shared his experience on social media.
"The proudest moment of my career so far- playing a soldier of the Glorious Indian Army ,one of the many facets of Chandu Champion’s life !! Glimpse of the 8 min long single take War Sequence Salute to the Indian Armed Forces ! (sic)," wrote Kartik in his Instagram post.
