Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, starring Salman Khan, is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Fans of the superstar are eagerly waiting to catch him on the big screens again after Antim: The Final Truth. The Sajid Nadiadwala production, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali film is already making several headlines but now, for some wrong reasons.

There were reports suggesting that Salman Khan's film had signed on Arshad Warsi and Shreyas Talpade initially but were replaced later by his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma and Zaheer Iqbal, whom the actor had launched with the film Notebook in 2019. And now, Arshad and Shreyas have opened up about these rumours.

Arshad recently spoke about the news in his conversation with Bollywood Life. He rubbished the news and said that the information is wrong. He added that he was never offered Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali in the first place. Shreyas too spoke about the rumours. The Iqbal actor, who is heaping praises for his latest film, Kaun Pravin Tambe? did not want to comment on it. Addressing the rumours about being replaced in the film, he said: “I don’t want to talk about it, Farhad is a very dear friend and I just want him to make a kickass film with or without me.”

Earlier, a report on News 18 had addressed these rumours about the Golmaal actors being replaced by Zaheer Iqbal and Aayush Sharma. The portal quoted a source saying that Ayush and Zaheer have always been part of Salman's movie and that Salman had recommended their names when the film was announced. The source further said that the production house had agreed to it and Sooraj Pancholi, who was also launched by the supertar with the film, Hero in 2015 is also being considered for a role in the film. The three actors will reportedly be seen portraying small but important roles as friends who run into Salman's character.

Touted to be a ‘cross-cultural love story’, with the elements of comedy, drama, action and a social message, the film is being reportedly planned for a release in December on Khan's birthday. The production of the film witnessed several delays due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The film also stars Pooja Hegde and Venkatesh in important roles.
