Kaatera release: Challenging Star Darshan’s film aiming for a Dasara theatrical outing

There is good news for fans of Challenging Star Darshan – the team of his 56th film Kaatera are looking at releasing the film this year, and, if all goes well, it may be in theatres as early as Dasara. According to a report in the New Indian Express, the shoot of Kaatera is currently in its final schedule and progressing smoothly, so much so that the team is confident of being able to work towards a festive theatrical outing.

According to Rockline Venkatesh, who is bankrolling the film, the team has been discussing possible release plans and right now, the target is to have Kaatera in theatres for Dasara. Venkatesh says that the team is working towards meeting this deadline. This year, the Dasara festivities begin on October 15 and go on till October 24. As of now, only Rakshit Shetty has announced a release around that time, with the second instalment of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello in theatres on October 20.

This announcement, undoubtedly, brings joy to the fans of the Challenging Star, who have eagerly awaited news about the film's release date. Darshan had a release earlier this year, Kranti, which was widely panned, but had the team claiming that it was a success. The superstar will be counting on Kaatera working at the box office, considering that it has him in a different avatar. The film is set in 70s and explores a real-life incident that happened in a village. The film’s backdrop is believed to be issues faced by the farming sector.

Meanwhile, Kaatera, which is director Tharun Sudhir’s second full-fledged movie with Darshan after Roberrt, marks the debut of veteran actress Malashree's daughter, Radhana Ram. The film also features acclaimed actors Jagapathi Babu and Kumar Govind in pivotal roles, along with senior actors Biradar, Master Rohit, and Danish Akhtar Saifi and Kaatera has dialogues by Maasthi, music by V Harikrishna.
