Kaalkoot release date: When and where to watch Vijay Varma-Shweta Tripathi’s cop drama on OTT

Kaalkoot, the new web series featuring Vijay Varma and Shweta Tripathi, is a gripping crime drama that promises to keep you hooked till the end. The series revolves around a horrific case of an acid attack and the quest for justice by a cop who is personally connected to the victim. Vijay Varma plays Ravi Tripathi, a sub-inspector in the town of Thana Sarsi, who takes up the challenge of finding the culprit behind the attack on Parul, the girl his mother wanted him to marry. Shweta Tripathi plays Parul, an acid attack survivor who fights for her dignity and rights.

The series is directed by Sumit Saxena and produced by JioCinema. It also boasts of a stellar cast of actors, including Yashpal Sharma, Gopal Datt, Seema Biswas, among others. Kaalkoot explores the themes of patriarchy, toxic masculinity, gender biases, and societal expectations that affect the lives of women and men in different ways. Kaalkoot is set to release on the OTT platform JioCinema on July 27. The series will be available for free on the platform and can be streamed in Hindi language.
