Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta's son Junaid Khan is currently busy promoting his upcoming film, Loveyapa. He will be seen alongside Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's younger daughter Khushi Kapoor. The trailer of the upcoming rom-com, helmed by Advait Chandan, was revealed recently and it received a positive response from netizens. Ahead of the big release, Junaid and Khushi appeared on Salman Khan's show Bigg Boss 18 finale to promote the film. Interestingly, they were joined by Aamir Khan. During their appearance, Junaid made a cheeky remark about his dad's ex-wives Kiran Rao and Reena Dutta. Now, in a new interview, Junaid has reacted to the same and expressed regret over his comment.
Salman and Aamir were seen having a gala time as they reunited on the stage. It so happened that they exchanged phones and started looking into them. The said task was being done in the context of Loveyapa since the film's plotline revolves around it. Salman quipped about finding nothing interesting in Aamir’s phone. He said, "What do I even see in your phone? Either Reena [Dutta] or Kiran [Rao] would have texted you." Junaid was quick to comment, "Toh do-do ex-wives ki gaaliyan padh paoge aap."
Now, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Junaid, who made his acting debut with Maharaj in 2024, said that he should have 'behaved'. He said, "I mean, maybe it was a little out of place. No, I mean, they’re both very, very senior actors, so I think I should have behaved a little more…They both have been doing this for 40 years now and they are both fantastic. So maybe I should have behaved myself."
Aamir was earlier married to Reena Dutta in 1986 and the duo has two children, Junaid and Ira Khan. They parted ways in 2002. Later, in 2005, Aamir tied the knot with Kiran Rao and welcomed their son Azad via surrogacy. In 2021, the couple announced their separation but they continue to co-parent their son. Professionally too, Aamir and Kiran recently teamed up for Laapaata Ladies which garnered international acclaim.
Meanwhile, Junaid and Khushi's film Loveyapa, also starring Ashutosh Rana, is all set to take over the big screens on February 7, 2025.
