It has been five days since Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani-starrer Jugjugg Jeeyo was released. The comedy-drama that delves into the highs and lows of marriage also features Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor in the lead. Meanwhile, Varun, who got married to his long-term beau Natasha Dalal in 2021, took the opportunity to share tips for a happy relationship with Kiara.

Kiara said that she believes in the ‘institution of marriage’. “I am very fortunate that I grew up seeing a very happy marriage at my home. I believe in the institution of marriage,” she said.

Kiara and Varun were in Kolkata to promote the film. While interacting with the media, Varun said that it is important to choose the right partner. “More importantly, choosing the right life partner is important. I believe in shaadi karo to ek hi bar karni chahiye. So you want to choose the person you want to grow old with,” he said.

While answering questions from journalists in Kolkata, Kiara said that Varun gave her tips on a happy marriage. “He said to make sure whoever you marry you have a good friendship with,” she said. Varun pitched in and shared the other tips with the media. “A very important thing is compatibility. We talk about our positive sides in a relationship. However, one has to accept the flaws also. There can be bad habits that you will have to get used to,” he explained.

Varun also said that it is important to keep the emotional connection intact with one’s partner. “Do not ever lose your emotional connection. We often talk about physical infidelity but emotional infidelity is bigger than physical infidelity in my opinion,” said the actor, adding that it is important to do things that your partner wants to do. “Go to a museum if they want to. I also went to a museum,” he laughed.

Produced by Dharma Productions, Jugjugg Jeeyo is running in theatres.
