Jubilee Trailer: Aditi Rao Hydari, Aparshakti Khurana starrer showcases the cruel reality behind stardom, glamour and glitz

Jubilee is the upcoming drama series starring Aditi Rao Hydari, Aparshakti Khurana and Prosenjit Chatterjee. It has been directed and created by Vikramaditya Motwane. The makers dropped the official trailer of the show that sees the reality and cruelty behind lights, camera and action.

The latest trailer begins with Aparshakti, who witnesses a live accident and instead of helping the injured, he tries to kill him. The montage further takes the audience to the Bollywood of 1947, where a famous production house called Roy Talkies launches a new face in the industry named Madan Kumar. 

Hydari enters the video as Sumitra Kumari, a famous actress and wife of the producer. She can be seen having an affair with a famous actor. The montage further chronicles the process of one man replacing a superstar with the same name and establishing himself as the most popular and loved star of the country. 

Wamiqa Gabbi gets introduced as an aspiring actor, who is ready to do anything to make it into the film industry. On the other hand, Sidhant Gupta is a hopeful filmmaker to make it to the top list of directors in Bollywood. 

The trailer showcases how the upcoming series is set to present the unknown reality behind the stardom, glamour and glitz.

The official synopsis of Jubilee reads, "Set in a newly independent India, Jubilee is a fictional period drama that unveils the stories and dreams that gave birth to Bollywood, as we know it."

Also created by Soumik Sen, the period drama series has been bankrolled by Andolan Films in association with Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Studios.

The forthcoming show also has Ram Kapoor, Sidhant Gupta, Wamiqa Gabbi and Nandish Sandhu, while the soundtrack has been composed by Amit Trivedi.

Interestingly, Jubilee part one consisting first five episodes will release on April 7, while part two with the remaining five episodes will premiere on April 14 on Amazon Prime Video.
