Speaking about his character in Baramulla, Vikas says, “I’m playing a Kashmiri police officer, who investigates and tries to solve an important case with Manav Kaul’s character in the movie. Through my character, the audience will get to know that it’s not easy to serve as a cop in the valley.”
To prepare for his role in the film, Vikas also underwent rigorous training. “I, along with Manav and another co-actor Shahid Mushtaq, had combat training in Mumbai, while I also did a workshop to grasp the Kashmiri dialect. It was also important for me to understand and adapt the lifestyle of Kashmir people, in a bid to help me understand my character better. Again, the film was mostly shot during the winter season. So, we had to prepare ourselves mentally and physically to film under freezing conditions,” the actor summed up.
