NTR's Devara is all set for a massive release on April 5, 2024. Around 80% of the shoot has been wrapped up and the pre-release business of Devara is heating up in Telugu states. But that is not the case for the overseas market. The overseas distributors are quoting Rs 22 crore for the action drama but NTR and his brother Kalyan Ram, being producers of the film, are expecting nothing less than Rs 30 crore.
If this deal is not fixed, NTR plans to seek the help of Yash Raj Films to release the film overseas. Over the last few months, NTR has developed a close bond with Yash Raj Films, as he is doing War 2 with them. Yash Raj Films, with all its expertise in distribution, is more than willing to help NTR, as per the news.

But the waiting game is on now, as NTR and his team are currently negotiating and waiting for more parties to sell the overseas rights to Devara. On the other hand, the distributors in the US are not ready to shell out such a big amount, as Devara's director, Koratala Siva's last film, Acharya, starring Chiranjeevi, was a massive flop.
Also, none of the recent NTR solo projects made big money in the US apart from RRR. The makers of Devara have already pumped in a huge amount and want to regain it at any cost through various rights to the film.
Some big names like Anirudh, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan are also associated with this film and their remunerations have also cost the makers a bomb for the makers.
Back in Telugu states, the pre-release business is on fire as NTR is high on the success of RRR and the teaser of Devara created a solid impact all over. Devara is being made in two parts and the shooting of the first part will be done by the last week of February. NTR will also start shooting for the second part soon.
The news is that he has moved his other film with Prasanth Neel to 2025 as he wants to concentrate completely on Devara, which is his prestigious film that will be released in Hindi and all the southern languages. Watch this space for more updates on this project.
