Jr NTR is gearing up for the grand release of his upcoming project, Devara. The movie directed by Koratala Siva marks the Telugu superstar’s first solo release, in the last six years. The team members revealed the long-awaited Devara trailer at a grand launch event held in Mumbai, today (September 10, 2024). At the event, Jr NTR addressed the media and extensively spoke about his journey with Devara. He also opened up about his bond with director Koratala Siva, at the event.
Devara is a special journey with Koratala Siva, says Jr NTR
The celebrated actor, who opened up about Devara, stated that it is not just a film for him. Jr NTR stated that the making of this project was a special journey with director Koratala Siva for so many years. The superstar recalled that his friendship with Siva started during the making of his blockbuster film Brindavanam, which was scripted by the writer-director. The duo’s friendship grew over the years. According to Jr NTR, his respect towards the Devara director’s craft increased tremendously, after the latter started his filmmaking journey.
The Telugu superstar revealed that it was very tough for the filmmaker to sustain in the film industry, and deliver back-to-back blockbusters. Jr NTR also remarked that Koratala Siva is someone who is solely focused on the story and nothing else, while making a film. The director, however, needs the right space and people around him to excel in his craft.
Jr NTR about the idea behind Devara
According to the talented actor, Koratala Siva and him finalised the subject of Devara just before the release of his previous outing, RRR. The duo came up with the idea of a protagonist, who is so unlike the usual mainstream cinema heroes. This hero has zero courage, and is on a journey to come out of his fear. This idea fascinated Jr NTR, who soon green-signaled the project. From the leading man’s revelation, it is safe to assume that Devara is going to be a unique experience for the Indian audiences.
