Actor Vetri, who is known for choosing different scripts, is back with the teaser of his next project, titled Jothi. The makers have released a one-minute teaser of the movie which offers a sneak peek into the film's story and genre. The young actor plays a cop for the first time in his career in Jothi.

The film's story revolves around a few murders and a similar pattern the gruesome incidents share among them. How a smart police officer finds the links between the cases forms the crux of the story. Sheela of Mandela (streaming on Netflix) fame plays the titular role of Jothi in the movie.

Producers Kalaippuli Thanu, Dhananjayan Govind and Suresh Kamatchi, actors RJ Balaji, Yogi Babu and Sakshi Agarwal and director Ajay Gnanamuthu unveiled the movie's teaser from their Twitter pages. AV Krishna Paramatma has directed the movie which has been bankrolled by Sathuranga Vettai (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar) fame editor SP Raja Sethupathi.

Harshawardhan Rameshwar has composed music for the project which has cinematography by Sesijeya and editing by Sathyamoorthy R. Sakthi Saravanan R and Suvi Kumar have choreographed action scenes and dance movements respectively for Jothi, the release date of which, will be announced later. 

Apart from Vetri and Sheela, Krisha Kurup, Rajasethupathi, Mime Gopi and Elango Kumaravel among others play pivotal roles in the movie. Vetri, who shot to fame with the sleeper hit, 8 Thottakkal (streaming on Zee5), was previously seen in Vanam, which released in theatres towards the end of last year.

On the other hand, Sheela, who became popular among movie buffs with acclaimed movie To Let and Mollywood movie Kumbalangi Nights (streaming on Amazon Prime Video), has Mayathirai, too, up for release in her kitty.
