If you are a fan of the Joker franchise, we have exciting news for you. We know that Joker: Folie à Deux is an upcoming American musical psychological thriller film, which is set to be a direct sequel to the 2019 hit Joker. Joaquin Phoenix will be reprising his role as the iconic DC Comics character, the Joker, with Lady Gaga also stepping in to play Harley Quinn. The film is directed by Todd Phillips, who co-wrote the screenplay with Scott Silver, and is being produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios in association with Joint Effort. Ahead of the film’s release, the creators announced the trailer’s release date.
Taking to Instagram today, Todd Phillips shared an unseen footage from Joker 2. In the video, Joaquin Phoenix's character Arthur Fleck can be observed laughing uncontrollably while situated in a prison yard, suggesting a setting possibly within Arkham Asylum. With the video, Todd attached a message that read, “Trailer tonight. 6:30 pm (Pacific Time). #JokerMovie” This means that the trailer can be viewed by people living in India from 7 am onwards on April 10.
Besides the ones mentioned above, Zazie Beetz will also be returning to her character from the previous movie, alongside new additions to the cast such as Steve Coogan, Brendan Gleeson, and Catherine Keener in undisclosed roles.

We know that Joker: Folie à Deux, popularly called Joker 2, is scheduled to be released in the United States on October 4, 2024, by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Recently, Joker 2 officially received an R rating from the Motion Picture Association (MPA), an American organization that determines the suitability of movies for different audiences based on their content. Todd Phillips, best known for directing the Hangover series, worked as a producer and co-writer with Scot Silver on both Joker and its upcoming sequel.
