For a lot of people, it would come as a surprise that veteran Malayalam star Joju George and Bollywood actor Rohit Saraf had once attended acting workshops together. The duo had a reunion, after years, at the recent OTTplay Changemakers Awards 2023, which honoured the disruptors and pathbreakers in film industries and social media, in Mumbai.

After getting to know that Rohit will be at the inaugural edition of Changemakers, Joju told us that the two used to attend acting workshops together once upon a time. “He was the ‘Amul Baby’ of the group. We had these training sessions and post that all of us would go for night drives. He used to drive my car,” said the Iratta and Nayattu actor.

When we asked if they had kept in touch, Joju said, “No. After that, we weren’t in touch. And then one fine day, I saw him in Shah Rukh Khan’s film Dear Zindagi. He’s a great chap.”
