Joju George is making his directorial debut with the upcoming Malayalam film, Pani. The makers released its first-look motion poster today (May 28). With the release of the poster, it is safe to assume that the movie will have a theatrical release soon, and further updates will be revealed in the coming days. The shooting of Pani was wrapped up in February.
The motion poster features a glimpse of the film’s lead actors, Joju George and Abhinaya. Former contestants of Bigg Boss Malayalam, Sagar Surya and Junaiz, are also appearing in prominent roles in this movie. All of them, except the female lead, have a rugged appearance.

The film's first poster was unveiled during Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 6 yesterday's episode (May 27). In order to interact with the contestants and discuss the movie, the actors Joju George, Abhinaya, Sagar Surya, and Junaiz entered the house. The actor and director both stated that the main theme of the movie is trying to seek revenge over two different circumstances.
"I talked to Sagar and Junaiz about this project after waiting for them to exit the show. I struggled for almost a year to make this movie and was skeptical that I would lose a lot of money doing it. Because of this directorial, I was not working on any films for a year," Joju stated on the popular reality programme.
According to him, Pani is primarily shot in different parts of Thrissur. Joju continued, saying that Jinto Bodycraft—who is currently competing on Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 6—should have also been in this movie, but he went on to the show.

The supporting cast of the movie includes Sujith Shanker, Alexander Prasanth, Abhayaa Hiranmayi, Seema, Chandhini Sreedharan, Babu Namboothiri, Ranjith Velayudhan, and Bitto Davis. The director himself has written the screenplay for the movie. M Riaz Adam and Sijo Vadakkan have bankrolled this film. Sam C S composed the soundtracks and original score for the project.
