Chad Stahelski's neo-noir action thriller John Wick: Chapter 4 emerged as a huge blockbuster with global collections of more than $425 million. The fourth instalment is the biggest box office hit so far of the Keanu Reeves-led movie franchise and was widely appreciated by the fans for its super slick action and a narrative that raises the stakes to a new high for the stone-cold assassin. While a few critics pulled up the makers for their incessant need to expand the franchise with a lacklustre script, audiences across the world were impressed by the action executed by Reeves and Co. Collectively, the John Wick franchise has grossed over $1 Billion to date.

John Wick 4 is set to make its digital debut on June 23 on Lionsgate Play, but only in select centres which exclude India. The previous three parts of the franchise are currently available on Amazon Prime Video for the Indian OTT audience but according to the latest reports, the fourth chapter is likely to find itself a new host in Netflix. Although there is no formal announcement made yet regarding, the same reports inform us that team John Wick 4 is considering Netflix over Amazon Prime Video and should things materialize as planned, one could expect the film to drop on OTT on May 24. Previously, a few trusted sources on social media, too, revealed that May 24 would be the chosen date for the streaming debut of the action film in India.

Chad Stahelski and Keanu Reeves united in 2014 for the first part of the John Wick series. Though that film was not a major commercial success, the novelty that it exuded with respect to the action sequences helped it achieve cult status and soon enough, the studios behind commissioned multiple sequels. Although Stahelski was initially meant to shoot John Wick 4 & 5 back-to-back, the mighty task involved in it compelled him to focus solely on the fourth instalment. When quizzed about the possibility of John Wick 5, both Stahelski and Reeves suggested that, according to them, the character was done with. The former, however, has said in multiple interviews that although he isn't keen on taking up the task anytime soon, he could be open to the idea of John Wick 5 at a later point.
