John Abraham's debut Malayalam production Mike gets a release date, check out the new poster

Mike, John Abraham's first Malayalam film as a producer, has got a release date. John announced on Instagram on Sunday that Mike will be released in theatres this year on August 19.

"JA Entertainment's first Malayalam film, MIKE, in cinemas on August 19th, 2022. #Mike," he shared.

Mike, directed by Vishnu Shivaprasad, stars Thanneer Mathan Dinangal actor Anaswara Rajan, and rookie Ranjith Sajeev.

Following the announcement of the movie's release date, fans posted on social media about how thrilled they were. A netizen commented that they are eagerly awaiting the movie, while another wished the best for John on his first Malayalam production.

John also provided a link to a fresh movie poster, which features the actors riding bikes while seated. Ashiq Akbar Ali wrote the script for Mike, which has been hailed as a coming-of-age film.

John is currently busy promoting Ek Villain Returns, a Bollywood movie with Arjun Kapoor, Tara Sutaria, and Disha Patani in the key parts.

When John expressed excitement about the movie, saying that Ek Villain Returns was like a homecoming for him, he knew it was what he wanted to do. Mohit's first project as an associate director was Jism, where he made his Bollywood debut. John said it's wonderful to watch him develop because he has come a long way.

The sequel to Mohit Suri's successful 2014 movie Ek Villain, which starred Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor, and Riteish Deshmukh, is his new film. On July 29, the updated version will be released in theatres.

John also has Siddharth Anand's Pathaan, which features Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role and Deepika as the female lead. The YRF production is slated for release on January 23, 2022.

The handsome hunk has also commenced the shoot of Tehran, which is produced by Dinesh Vijan under his home banner Maddock Films.
