In January this year, actors John Abraham and Deepika Padukone featured together in titular roles in Pathaan. This film became a blockbuster and minted over Rs 1,000 crores at the box office. While movie buffs continue to shower love towards the film, a fresh development in Bollywood believes that John’s upcoming film The Diplomat is likely to clash with Deepika Padukone’s upcoming film Fighter at the box office.
On Saturday, 50-year-old John officially announced that his upcoming movie, titled The Diplomat, is all set to hit the theatres on January 11, 2024. Dropping a post about the development, John said on Twitter, “Some wars are fought even outside the battlefield. Prepare for a new kind of hero as the high-octane drama #TheDiplomat gets a release date! The film will release globally on 11th January 2024.”
The poster of the movie reads, “A true hero needs no weapon.” This movie is produced by John Abraham as well and is directed by Shivam Nair. The film’s screenplay is penned by the talented Ritesh Shah.
With this announcement, it is certain that popular actor John Abraham’s film is all set to be released in the same as that of Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter. Not only this, but movie buffs are now wondering whether The Diplomat will clash with Fighter at the box office.
Interestingly, January is a special month for Deepika Padukone and her fans as the starlet celebrates her birthday on January 5 yearly. Next year, the Bollywood beauty will turn 38 years old.
