Nawazuddin Siddiqui is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film titled Jogira Sara Ra Ra. While promoting the movie, the actor recently opened up about why he never really felt inspired by the kind of romance we've all been witnessing on screen, as portrayed by the Bollywood films. Nawaz also revealed the kind of romance that really inspires him.

While speaking to IndianExpress, Nawaz shared that he could never understand the scenarios of a typical "filmy Bollywood" romance, especially since most of it is devoid of logic and far removed from reality. He explained that the romantic films in Hindi cinema never showcase rooted romance on screen adding that the romance that the industry popularizes doesn't really happen in real life at all.

"That ek banda guitar baja raha hai sadak pe aur dus log aagaye — where do they come from and where do they go? It is beyond my understanding!” - the actor was quoted as saying by the publication.

He also revealed that he was never a fan of the "Bollywood filmy romance". Instead, he got inspired by the kind of romance that happened in realistic situations and surroundings like local trains, the lanes of his village, in the mohallas he grew up in.

"The kind of romance that truly happens in our country, where a boy, after a day of toiling hard, romances wearing a shirt drenched in sweat," the actor was quoted as saying.

Nawaz co-stars with Neha Sharma in Jogira Sara Ra Ra - a story from the heartland which promises to be full of twists, risks, and a lot of jugaad. Directed by Kushan Nandy, the film also stars Sanjay Mishra in a significant role. The light-hearted comedy was initially slated to hit the theatres on May 12, 2023 but was later postponed to May 26, 2023.
