Jodie Turner-Smith is currently in negotiations to join Noah Baumbach’s upcoming feature film for Netflix set to be an adaptation of Don DeLillo’s White Noise. If things go well, audiences can see the Queen & Slim actor joining the cast alongside Adam Driver, Greta Gerwig, Raffey Cassidy, Sam Nivola and May Nivola. The adaptation will be penned and helmed by Noah Baumbach.

Post Baumbach's new exclusive deal with Netflix following his Oscar-nominated work on Marriage Story, the upcoming adaptation was the first film to be announced. The movie will mark Baumbach's third venture with the streaming platform coming after the 2017 release The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) and the Oscar-nominated Marriage Story.

DeLillo's satirical work White Noise follows the story of Jack (to be played by Driver), a college professor making a name for himself by teaching Hitler studies at a liberal arts college in Middle America. Together with his fourth wife Babette (to be portrayed by Gerwig) and their kids, they attempt to navigate through life. However, everything is put to test when an airborne toxic event disrupts their existence, making them face the threat of death together. It is still not known which role Turner-Smith would take up in the film.

Turner-Smith is known for her breakout role as the Queen opposite Daniel Kaluuya in Universal’s 2019 romantic drama film Queen & Slim. She was most recently seen in the Michael B. Jordan-led action-thriller Without Remorse, which is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. She will be next seen playing the titular role in the limited series Anne Boleyn.
