Jigarthanda Double X runtime locked: Advance booking to begin on THIS date

Director Karthik Subbaraj's upcoming film Jigarthanda Double X is all set to drop in theatres worldwide from November 10 as a Deepavali special. The film will lock horns with Karthi's quirky film with Raju Murugan, Japan and Vikram Prabhu's action entertainer Raid.

Runtime of Jigarthanda Double X
With just two weeks to go for the release of Jigarthanda Double X, the team has been cleared by the Censor Board with a U/A certificate. The film's runtime has been revealed as 2 hours 59 minutes and 54 seconds. It looks like the film has had some massive cuts, mutes, modifications and disclaimers being included. A number of cuss words have been partially muted as well and some of these words have been asked to be removed from the subtitles as well.

Advance booking kicks off
The worldwide advance ticket booking is all set to begin this week. Ahimsa Entertainment, which is distributing the film overseas, wrote, "Worldwide ticket sales for #JigarthandaDoubleX kick off this week. Shoutout to our overseas release partners. Promising a 100% KARTHIK SUBBARAJ classic! Diwali 2023's gonna be lit (sic)."

Team drops a power-packed music video
Earlier in the day, the team dropped a peppy and groovy music video of the song 10000 Pax, written and performed by ofRo. Santhosh Narayanan has composed the song and the promo video has been directed by Ken Roysan. Karthik Subbaraj shared the same on his social media handle and wrote, "It's time for Lights Camera Action! Presenting the high voltage #10000PAX Music Video from #JigarthandaDoubleX A @Music_Santhosh musical ft. @ofrooooo #DoubleXDiwali in theatres, from November 10th (sic)."

A Pandyaa Western story
The makers have been calling the film a Pandyaa Western story. The film is billed as an action drama which revolves around a filmmaker (SJ Suryah) and a gangster-turned-actor (Raghava Lawrence). The action drama is bankrolled by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam and Kathiresan under the Stone Bench Films and Five Star Creations banners.
