Jigarthanda Double X: ofRO’s 10000PAX rap song takes you back to the 70s

The makers of Karthik Subbaraj's eagerly anticipated film Jigarthanda Double X, starring SJ Suryah and Raghava Lawrence in lead roles, have released the second track from the film, 10000 Pax. With lyrics and vocals by the talented ofRo (Rohith Abraham), the track is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The composer took to his social media handles to share the news, writing, “#10000PAX from #JigarthandaDoubleX is out now ! Thank you @ofrooooo and director @kenroyson_ for the magic ! Let us go crazy this Deepavali !”. 

The action drama is slated to be released in theatres on November 10.

10000PAX delivers a nostalgic 70s theme

Said to be a tribute to the cinema of the 1970s, the music video for 10000 Pax showcases ofRo delivering a spirited rap performance against a backdrop that mimics the essence of retro films. The 1970s film set ambiance of the video perfectly matches the theme of the film. 

Plot of Jigarthanda Double X

The film is a standalone sequel to Jigarthanda (2014). The plot is set in 1975 Tamil Nadu, when a filmmaker and dreaded gangster collaborate to make a Western film. 

The cast and crew of Jigarthanda Double X

Apart from SJ Suryah and Raghava Lawrence, Jigarthanda Double X boasts an ensemble cast that includes Nimisha Sajayan, Shine Chacko, Sanjana Natarajan, and Naveen Chandra, who play pivotal characters in this film. Santhosh Narayanan had composed the music, while Mercury and Petta's SS Thirunavukarasu had handled the cinematography, with Shafique Mohamed Ali as the editor.

The action drama is bankrolled by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam and Kathiresan under the Stone Bench Films and Five Star Creations banners.
