With the buzz going stronger that Trisha is likely to play the leading lady in Ajith's Vidaa Muyarchi, fans are excited like never before. Trisha and Ajith are a popular onscreen couple and Trisha has time and again stated that she loved working with the Thunivu star. Here are the times when we got together onscreen.
Yennai Arindhaal (2015)
This action thriller, helmed by Gautham Menon, revolved around an honest police officer named Sathyadev (Ajith), who tries to protect a young woman from a vengeful criminal. The film was also talked about for the sizzling onscreen chemistry between Trisha as Hemanika and Ajith. Trisha's look in the film, too, went viral. The actress, who played a dancer in the film, stunned in her look that comprised some beautiful sari collection.
Mankatha (2011)
When it came to heist films, Ajith seemed to have competition. He did it in Thunivu, he did it much earlier in Mankatha as well, which was directed by Venkat Prabhu. The plot revolved around a heist involving cricket betting money. Trisha played Sanjana, Vinayak's (Ajith) girlfriend, who is tricked by Vinayak, who only pretended to be in love with her. Mankatha marked Ajith's 50th film and was a smashing hit.
Kireedam (2007)
A remake of the 1989 Malayalam film of the same name, Kireedam marked the debut of director AL Vijay. The plot revolves around a father whose only dream for his son is that he becomes a police officer. Trisha played a college student in the film, who after many funny run-ins, falls in love with Sakthi (Ajith). While Trisha and Ajith made a lovely pair, the film also talked about the chemistry between Rajkiran and Ajith, who played father and son.
Ji (2005)
Ji marked the maiden collaboration between Ajith and Trisha. Though the album of the song was a hit and the onscreen chemistry between the lead actors was lauded by many, the film faced many hurdles, with Ajith and Trisha moving on to other films during shoot and Lingusamy going on to direct Sandakozhi. The film, released after a long delay, didn't rake in the moolah.
