Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback film Pathaan, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, seems to be making news almost everyday. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the Yash Raj Films’ action spectacle is part of Aditya Chopra’s spy universe. The makers recently released the first glimpse of the second song from the film, Jhoome Jo Pathaan, that has been picturised on the lead pair, Shah Rukh and Deepika. The song is slated to release on December 22.

Speaking about the song, director Siddharth said that it will be a treat for Shah Rukh’s fans as it’s been some time since they have witnessed SRK grooving to music. He added that  the song is a modern fusion Qawaali and is a “celebration of Pathaan’s style and panache”.

Siddharth goes on to emphasise how Jhoome Jo Pathaan is an “ode to the spirit of Pathaan”. The song shows the character of the extravagant spy Pathaan, played by Shah Rukh Khan, who possesses endless charm and a contagious vigour. “The effortless charisma he exudes adds to the appeal of the song, making it a tune that anyone can dance to,” said the director.

Siddharth further added that Deepika looks as stunning as ever in Jhoome Jo Pathaan. The chemistry between Shah Rukh and Deepika is one to look out for in the song.

Before Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone have shared screen space in hit films such as Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express and Happy New Year.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, Pathaan also stars John Abraham, Ashutosh Rana, Gautam Rode and Dimple Kapadia, with cameos by Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan.  It is slated to release in theatres on January 25, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
