Jhanak: Krushal Ahuja, Rishi Kaushik and Hiba Nawab in Leena Gangopadhyay’s Hindi mega serial

Leena Gangopadhyay and Saibal Banerjee have been presenting a bouquet of superhit mega serials for the Bengali audience. In fact, a number of their Bengali serials have been recreated in other languages. Now, they are all set to start their first Hindi serial, Jhanak, for Star Plus. The shooting started in Kolkata. On Thursday, the team will shoot at Movietone Studio. After three days of the shoot in Kolkata, the team will travel to Kashmir, and finally, the shooting will take place in Mumbai studios. 

The serial has Rishi Kaushik as the main antagonist. Besides, Krushal Ahuja and Hiba Nawab will pair up against each other. The story revolves around Rahul, Arshi, and Divya – Rahul is the male lead of the story, and Divya is the female lead of the story. Arshi, who was supposed to be married to Rahul, gets caught in the crossfires of fate, as destiny drives Divya and Rahul to be hitched to each other in an impossible marriage where neither can accept the other nor fall in love.

Rahul is a young and successful software engineer who travels around the world for stuff related to his work. His marriage has been fixed with Arshi, who believes that she is destined to lead a happy life, and as a result, she is about to get married to the ‘to be’ NRI Rahul. Divya is the protagonist of the story whom Rahul meets on a trip to Kashmir before his marriage. Fate plays a strange game forcing Rahul and Divya to marry. Arshi slowly turns bitter towards Divya for no fault of her own. Divya has a hard life, but despite all offs, she tries to excel in life and improve. However, due to the impossible marriage, she too is not sure about the marriage and her feelings towards Rahul and vice versa.
