Jaya Ahsan to join Srijit Mukherji’s Dawsham Awbotaar?

Srijit Mukherjee is all set to start his new film, Dawsham Awbotaar. As per reports, the film will feature Prosenjit Chatterjee, Anirban Bhattacharya, Subhashree Ganguly, and Jisshu U Sengupta. Fresh reports have arrived that Jaya Ahsan may join the team. The shooting will begin by the second week of this month. 

As per sources, Jaya was approached with the offer. She heard the script verbally but yet to take a call. There has not been any confirmation from the makers or the actress. 

Jaya is all geared up with her Bollywood venture, Kadak Singh. Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, the film also features Pankaj Tripathi and others. This year, team Kadak Singh, the director, and Jaya Ahsan attended the IIFA Awards 2023 in Abu Dhabi. There she met her favourite actor Vijay Verma and posted a photo with him. Earlier, in a chat with OTTplay, the actress confessed that she could not resist the temptation of clicking a photo with him. “When Tonyda (Aniruddha) introduced me to Vijay Verma, I instantly took a photo. He is my current favourite actor, especially after I watched his performance in Dahaad. We had a chat for about five minutes,” she said.

Srijit’s Dawshom Awbotaar will be his Puja release. Along with it, Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s Roktobeej, Dev’s Bagha Jatin, and Arindam Sil’s Jangale Mitin Masi will also be released. Roktobeej stars Abir and Mimi. Meanwhile, Koel Mallick will play the detective Mitin Mashi in Arindam Sil’s film.
