'Jawan,' starring Shah Rukh Khan, became a film triumph with its creative visual effects. A fascinating three-minute breakdown video was just released, providing an insight into the hard work that went into making the Atlee-directed film starring King Khan.
The visual effects work that went into Jawan, the biggest Indian movie of the previous year starring Shah Rukh Khan, has been dissected in a video via Red Chillies VFX. The Atlee-directed vigilante action movie became the most successful of SRK's career, grossing over Rs 1100 crore worldwide. Jawan narrated a story of a vigilante policeman who organizes a group of female inmates to commit socially conscious robberies. He meets up with his father, who is also portrayed by SRK, during the journey.
The three-minute VFX breakdown sheds light on several pivotal scenes from the movie, including the revelation that the metro train's exterior in the opening scene was created solely using computers. Much of the action in the film is set in a partially built prison that has been enhanced with visual effects. The entire cottage that Deepika Padukone's character, Vikram Rathore, shared with his partner was constructed using visual effects.
However, the fact that Vikram smokes a computer-generated cigar in the movie—at least in the one scene featured in the breakdown video—is among the most intriguing revelations made in the video.
It is additionally revealed that SRK executed a few of the stunts on his own, particularly in the truck theft scene. Still, one of Vikram riding the bikes was completely computer-generated.
This visual effects breakdown video is a cinematic revelation that offers the minute components of the team's inventive and laborious efforts to enhance Jawan's plot. The computer-generated imagery and CGI marvels demonstrate the skill and effort required to master each shot and create digital enchantment. This further demonstrates how technology can be combined with storytelling skills to create a stunning cinematic experience.
