Jawan turns 1: Shah Rukh Khan pens gratitude note; says 'film that we made with a lot of heart'

Jawan broke the box office records when it was released. Today, September 7 marks the one year anniversary of the film starring Shah Rukh Khan. On this special day, the superstar made a post thanking everyone and added that they have made the film with a lot of love.

Taking to his X handle, Shah Rukh Khan dropped glimpses from the film Jawan as Atlee's directorial completed one year of release.

He penned, “The film that we made with a lot of heart… has turned one year ‘old’ today… or shall I say one year ‘Jawan’. Without the storytelling, skill and vision of @Atlee_dir , this film wouldn’t have been possible and of course… massy massy massy!!!"

Jawan follows the story of an Indian who suffered the worst torture at the hands of a gang that cruelly tormented numerous helpless commoners while being unable to distinguish even between a small child.

After escaping the gang, he decides not to leave anyone behind to harm society. The rest of the story of the movie revolves around how he tracks down the main enemy and executes a plan to eliminate him.

Apart from SRK, the cast also features Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in important roles in the film. Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Deepika Padukone,Yogi Babu, Sunil Grover, Ridhi Dogra, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya and others were seen in pivotal roles as well.

Meanwhile, Jawan is streaming on Netflix.
