Jawan's success event was a star-studded affair, and several unforgettable moments have made it to the Internet. From the leading star Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, to half of his army, including Sanya Malhotra, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, and Sunil Grover, to director Atlee, music composer Anirudh Ravichander, RajaKumari, and also Deepika Padukone, they marked their presence at the success meet. However, the leading lady of Jawan, Nayanthara, couldn't make it to Mumbai for the event as she was busy celebrating her mother's birthday.
Nayanthara's absence and video message
However, Lady Superstar sent a video message to the people who were a part of the event. She started off by stating, "Namaste Mumbai, It’s an absolute honour to be addressing all of you. Even though I am not there in person, I want to send a big, big, big hug to my friends from the media and my dear fans. I truly wish I could be there with you all in Mumbai right now, surrounded by the incredible people who have supported me throughout my journey. But today holds a special occasion for my family, and I wanted to spend this time together."
A special mention of Shah Rukh Khan
Nayanthara said it's so heartwarming to see so much support for Jawan shown in their words. She thanked people for their unwavering belief in her; it means the world to her. The actor also expressed her gratitude to the crew and cast for the chance to play Narmada. The journey has been one of joy, struggle, and development. Regarding development, Nayanthara expressed her appreciation to a man who hardly requires an introduction: Shah Rukh Khan. It was absolutely fantastic for her to be on screen with him and experience firsthand his extraordinary talent and vivacious enthusiasm.
Nayanthara's promise to continue the journey
Nayanthara concluded by saying, "Mumbai, I may not be there with you today, but your love and support have touched me deeply. Let’s continue to celebrate the magic of cinema and the power of storytelling together. Kya hua agar aaj mil nahi paaye toh? (What if we can't meet today?) There is always a next time. It’s a promise that humari mulakat chalu rahegi (it's a promise that our meeting will continue). So be ready."
Jawan marked the Bollywood debuts of Nayanthara, Atlee, and Anirudh. The film was released on the big screen on September 7, 2023.
