Jawan storm to hit Chennai: Shah Rukh Khan gears up to rock the pre-release event; details inside

Shah Rukh Khan wowed the crowd as he unveiled the hard-hitting party number Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya from his upcoming flick Jawan. Despite this, today at 3 p.m., the superstar and the director, Atlee, will be taking over Chennai at the pre-release event of Jawan, which will be held at Sai Ram Engineering College. 

Here's what the superstar tweeted:

SRK himself posted about this exciting news on social media, writing, "Vanakkam Chennai, I am coming! All the Jawans, girls and boys, at Sai Ram Engineering College, be ready... I am excited to meet you all! Might even do some tha tha thaiya if asked. See you tomorrow from 3 p.m. onwards (sic)."

This is the first time in five years that Shah Rukh is set to attend a pre-release event for his film's promotions. Earlier this year, the superstar was a part of the Pathaan success event in Mumbai, which he attended with Siddharth Anand, John Abraham, and Deepika Padukone.

Atlee shares his excitement: 

Even more so than filming in Mumbai, director Atlee can't wait to visit Chennai and spread Jawan fever. The film director posted his excitement online, saying, "I can't wait for this. See you all tomorrow. #jawan pre-release event tomorrow at 3 p.m. at Sai Ram Engineering College, Chennai. (sic)"

Synopsis:

Jawan is a high-octane action thriller that charts the inner development of a man (Shah Rukh Khan) determined to right the wrongs of the world. 

The film has an ensemble cast that includes Nayanthara as the female lead and Vijay Sethupathi as the main antagonist, along with Sanya Malhotra and Priya Mani in supporting roles and Deepika Padukone in a special appearance.

Red Chillies Entertainment is releasing the film Jawan, which Atlee directed, Gauri Khan produced, and Gaurav Verma co-produced. On September 7, 2023, the film will debut in theatres across the globe in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
