The team of Jawan announced the film's release date today much to the delight of fans. Shah Rukh Khan dropped a brand new poster from the film, in which he is seen covered in bandages, along with the date announcement. The film, directed by Atlee, is all set to hit screens worldwide on September 7.

Shah Rukh Khan, who is now often seen engaging in an #AskSRK session, where he interacts with his fans. In today's session, when Shah Rukh Khan was asked by a fan what was the most exciting thing about Jawan, SRK revealed that it was Atlee and his team. He replied, "Atlee and his team. They are Maassss!! Ha ha (sic)."

Calling Jawan, a new genre of sorts, SRK wrote, "For me at least it’s a new kind of a genre. An Atlee special and the marriage of trying to bring two ways of making films in tandem." SRK also stated that he watched the previous films of Atlee and that he liked Theri and Mersal. Interestingly, both films had Thalapathy Vijay as the lead actor.

When another fan asked if Atlee made him learn Tamil, Shah Rukh Khan said Anirudh made him lip sync for a song. He wrote, "Atlee and Anirudh made me do a few song lines (lip synch ) in Tamil….hope I got them right (sic)."

Talking about the experience working with the film's leading lady Nayanthara, he said that the shoot was a lot of fun. "Hectic and fun to shoot with Atlee Vijay & Nayan and everybody else. Really intense and fun. #Jawan (sic)." He also called Nayanthara, a lovely person to work with He wrote, "She is lovely….too sweet and awesome to work with. A pleasure (sic)."

Shah Rukh Khan also revealed that he learnt a lot from Vijay Sethupathi. "He is such a humble person and a brilliant actor. Learnt a lot from Vijay (sic)."

Commenting on the delay in the film's release, Shah Rukh Khan said, "Everybody was working without a break and pushing themselves…so a bit relieved that all can do their job with more ease now (sic)."
