One of the most-awaited songs from Jawan is finally out. On the occasion of Atlee's birthday, the makers dropped the song Faraatta, which is a peppy track featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. The song comes in the second half of Jawan, soon after DP makes a grand entry in the film as Aishwarya, the wife of Vikram Rathore (SRK).
Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone bring retro vibes
The video of the song Faraatta sees both actors dancing their hearts out and opting for a trendy retro look. In the video, the palpable chemistry between SRK and Deepika is the major highlight and comes at the right time in the film, ahead of an intense sequence that changes the tone of Jawan entirely.
Check out the Faraatta video below:
Arijit Singh and Jonita Gandhi have crooned the song, along with rap by Badshah. Kumaar wrote the lyrics, and Anirudh Ravichander composed the music. The fun choreography is by Farah Khan Kunder.
Shah Rukh Khan's birthday wishes to Atlee
While sharing the song on his social media pages, SRK wished Atlee on his birthday and wrote, "Done more than a few songs with @deepikapadukone... but nothing like a love song done the Atlee way! Happy Birthday, my friend @Atlee_dir! Thank you for this #Faraatta of a song. To first meetings, first love, that Faraatta feeling! (sic)"

Deepika Padukone on her special role in Jawan
Earlier at Jawan's success event, Deepika revealed that she felt her cameo was not just a special appearance, and it took her by surprise. The actor stated, "All of it has been overwhelming. I am now discovering that I was fooled and conned. I was shooting for Project K in Hyderabad, and both of them (Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee) flew down to come and see me. They narrated the whole story to me and told me that this is a very important part of Aishwarya. For me, it wasn't about the length of the role; it was about the impact this character was going to have on the entire film. So for me, it was twofold. One is that everyone knows my love for him (SRK). You know, whatever he wants, I'll always be there. But also, the movie was so special that any actor, if offered this part, would say yes to it. Because it was about the vision. Everyone here has invested in that vision, no matter how big or small the role was."
Jawan has minted nearly Rs. 1000 crore at the global box office.
