Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan's most recent movie is breaking box office records. The superstar has been receiving all the love for both of his characters Azad and Vikram Rathore. Now the dialogue writer of the film, Sumit Arora reveals an exciting detail from the film. Keep reading to know!

According to Sumit Arora, Jawan's now-famous line, "Bete ko hath lagane se pehle, baap se baat kar", wasn't originally part of the script. Yes! You heard that right! One of the most viral dialogue of the film was not even a part of it. Arora reveals that a week prior to the movie's release, the action-packed entertainer's trailer revealed the dialogue, which attracted a lot of attention. Sumit explained how the dialogue was added into the film, saying that it happened on the day of shooting.

Sumit Arora's statement

It's a story that will make you believe in the magic of filmmaking, Sumit stated. He revealed that the initial draft did not have this dialogue. The 'scene' where SRK's character delivers the viral dialogue was always there in the film and the makers knew that it is a strong shot even if he says nothing. However, the writer added in a statement, "But while shooting, it was felt that there should be a line, that this guy should say something,"

"I was there on the set, so I was called in, and the first words that came out of my mouth given the situation were: 'bete ko hath lagane se pehle, baap se baat kar'", he added. He also revealed that it seemed like the most logical and appropriate thing for him to say at that time and the director Atlee and SRK agreed that the shot was perfect.

SRK's dialogue associated with Aryan Khan's case

For the uninitiated, the dialogue, which was delivered by the superstar's character Vikram Rathore in the climax, has been associated by many fans on social media with his son Aryan Khan's detention in the drugs-on-cruise case in October 2021. After serving 25 days in prison, Aryan was given a clean bill of health and released on bond.
