Shah Rukh Khan, Anirudh Ravichander at Jawan pre-release event (PC: PR)

The pre-release event of Jawan took place in Chennai on Wednesday, August 30. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer is all set to hit cinemas all over the world next week. During the grand pre-celebration of the Atlee-directed film, the filmmaker addressed the cinephiles with utmost joy. Meanwhile, the other makers and actors of the movie spoke about their latest ensemble as well. Talking about working in the forthcoming actioner SRK shared his experience as well as mentioned music composer, Anirudh Ravichander and called him his son.
During the event King Khan mentioned, "There is this little baby, who I think of like my own son now, that's Anirudh, so he was telling me that he will miss my calls, and I hope that he does not graduate so much in the Hindi film industry and become so big, Inshallah you should, that he doesn't take my calls. I will miss you, my son."
He also added that the Jawan director cited the young and talented music composer during one of their meetings and called him a kid. "I have seen him like a baby. 'Why this Kolaveri Kolaveri di?' and from that time I have been wanting to meet him," SRK mentioned and further added that Atlee spoke about Anirudh to him and asked if he could do a song for the film in Tamil as well as Hindi, to which the Indian superstar replied that not only one but all the songs should be done by him only.
After his speech at the event, Shah Rukh thanked Anirudh for all the hard work he has put into the film, "I love you so much. And a big gratitude and love to your parents, both your father and mother. Thank you, sir and ma'am."
On the other hand, Sanya Malhotra, who plays one of the key characters in the action thriller flick, shared an adorable selfie with SRK from the event on her Instagram story.
Jawan, which also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal roles with Deepika Padukone in a special cameo appearance in schedule to hit the cinemas globally on September 7, 2023.
