Jawan pre-release event: Makers reveal Shah Rukh Khan's kind gesture which benefitted 3,000 families

The pre-release event of Jawan is happening in Chennai now, and fans of Shah Rukh Khan are having a gala time. With the release of the movie just a week away, a few cast and crew members of the movie are putting their best foot forward to promote the film.

The crowd went berserk when SRK welcomed Vijay Sethupathi and hugged him, followed by a kiss on his cheek. However, what left many thrilled was a revelation made by art director Muthuraj while delivering his speech.

SRK's kind-heartedness helped many families

All praise for the Bollywood superstar, the technician said that the shooting of Jawan happened in Chennai for almost 150 days. This was apparently a big schedule. SRK agreed to shoot this in Chennai as many crew members were from Tamil Nadu. Interestingly, this gesture from the star helped 3,000 families in the state.

Later, lyricist Vivek, too, thanked the star for agreeing to act in a movie that has most of its crew members from Tamil Nadu. He also added that the star enjoys a big fan base in the state ever since he played a pivotal role in Kamal Haasan's Hey Ram.

Jawan's Tamil connection

The movie's director Atlee, female lead Nayanthara and music director Anirudh are from Kollywood, and interestingly, the film marks the Hindi debut of all three. Vijay Sethupathi is another prominent person from the Tamil film industry who is part of the project.

Gokulam Gopalan has bagged the theatrical rights of Jawan in Tamil Nadu; the movie is poised to take a good opening in the state as it is releasing in a record number of theatres for a Hindi movie. The speculation of Vijay appearing in a cameo has also escalated the hype surrounding the film in Tamil Nadu.
