Jawan new promo: Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay Sethupathi reveal why they signed up for the Atlee-directed film

Jawan is the most awaited Shah Rukh Khan starrer of the year. The Atlee directorial was officially announced for the first time in June 2022, and now it's all set to hit cinemas worldwide. Ahead of the historical theatrical release, makers have dropped multiple promo videos featuring King Khan. Meanwhile, a new clip featuring Vijay Sethupathi along with the Bollywood superstar in a Q&A session, where both of them reveal their reason for signing the massy flick.

New promo

The latest promo begins with Shah Rukh Khan explaining the theme of the video where he and his co-star will answer the 7 most important questions asked by fans. When asked if he and Atlee have been equally eager to work with each other, the superstar began with a naughty answer, but further, he explained how he came to know about this new project from Atlee himself when the making of Bigil was going on during an IPL match between CSK and KKR in Chennai.

How and why did Vijay Sethupathi bag Jawan?

Talking about how it all happened, Vijay unveiled that during his meeting with Atlee in Australia, he randomly asked the filmmaker if he could be a bad guy for one of his films, to which the Jawan director replied that he and his team had been thinking about him for past one year.

Why did SRK sign up for Jawan?

Savagely answering the question in the video, King Khan shared that after witnessing his introduction shot in the Jawan prevue where he can be seen in his bald avatar doing some action with his hands, he realised that 'that's the moment for which he did Jawan.' Meanwhile, he also shared that another reason to take up the project is because it's him with five girls on the screen.

Jawan advance bookings have been skyrocketing since it opened, while on the other hand, the earliest show of the upcoming actioner begins at 5 a.m. on the opening day.

Jawan: cast and release date

Along with Shah Rukh and Vijay, the Atlee directorial also stars Nayanthara in a pivotal role and Deepika Padukone in a special cameo avatar with Priyamani, Sunil Grover, Riddhi Dogra, Sanya Malhotra, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girija Oak and Lehar Khan in key roles. Jawan is all set to release globally in theatres on September 7, 2023.
