Shah Rukh Khan fans can’t keep calm! Today evening, the Bollywood ‘Badshah’ will land in Chennai to attend a grand-scale promotional event of Jawan. The 57-year-old superstar will be part of the audio launch event of his upcoming movie.
On Twitter yesterday, Shah Rukh Khan informed his fans that he is “excited to meet all the Jawans - girls and boys at Sai Ram Engineering College”.
“Vanakkam Chennai, I am coming!!! All the Jawans - girls & boys at Sai Ram Engineering College be ready... I am excited to meet you all! Might even do some tha tha thaiya if asked. See you tomorrow 3 PM onwards,” wrote Shah Rukh Khan on Twitter yesterday.
Updating about the development today, Pooja Dadlani – Shah Rukh Khan’s talent manager – shared exciting glimpses from the venue of the Chennai event. In one of the glimpses, a poster of Jawan can be spotted at the venue of the event. Writing about this moment, Pooja says, “#Chennai Are you ready? On our way to the pre-release event! See you all dancing!”
In another Instagram Story, Pooja wrote, “#Jawan”. In this glimpse, people were spotted working hard on the stage design wherein Shah Rukh Khan is expected to make a gracious presence.
For the uninitiated, Pooja Dadlani has been managing Shah Rukh Khan and his business affairs including Red Chillies Entertainment and Kolkata Night Riders since 2012. Not only this, but she also shares a close bond with Shah Rukh Khan’s family members namely Gauri Khan, Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan and little cutiepie AbRam.
Adding up to the excitement levels, fans of Shah Rukh Khan decorated the city ahead of the actor's arrival. Many of them have started dancing on the tunes of ‘Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya’ - a song from the movie.
It is after a long time that Shah Rukh Khan has promoted a film in Chennai. Last time, Chennai locals spotted him at Nayanthara residence in February 2023 ahead of 'Jawan' shoot.
Directed by Atlee, Jawan will hit the theatres on September 7. It features Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and Priya Mani in key roles.
