Four days after its release, Shah Rukh Khan's movie Jawan is getting closer in surpassing Pathaan as the highest-grossing Hindi movie of all time, raking in more than Rs 1000 crore overseas. The movie broke several box office records on its first day and has since gone on to become the greatest Hindi opening of all time.

On its fourth day, Jawan broke yet another record and became the highest single day in Hindi. According to Sacnilk.com, the movie made Rs 81 crore on its first Sunday in theaters, exceeding its Day 1 profits of Rs 75 crore.
Jawan made Rs 53.23 crore on Day 2 and Rs 77.83 on Day 3 of his earnings. According to preliminary estimates, the action drama has a total revenue of Rs 287.06 crore. On Sunday, the overall attendance for Hindi audience was 70.77 percent, with the evening shows having the greatest occupancy.
Jawan Vs Gadar 2 Vs Pathaan BO collection
Jawan outperformed Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 to score Bollywood's second-biggest opening weekend of the year. Pathaan is still in first place. Gadar 2, which was released on August 11, had a Rs 134.88 crore opening weekend. In comparison, Pathaan, which had a five-day extended weekend, brought in Rs 280.75 Cr. in January of this year.

Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara plays the female lead while Deepika Padukone makes a lengthy cameo appearance in the movie. Vijay Sethupathi plays the main antagonist.
