Jawan box office collection day 1: Shah Rukh Khan’s film creates history, earns Rs. 75 crore

Jawan mania began yesterday as the film released on September 7, after a lot of anticipation. From the first day tself, the film started to create history in Bollywood. The Shah Rukh Khan-starring film has already broken several significant box office records with its first day collection. The Atlee-directed movie boasts the highest advance ticket sales for a Bollywood movie both in India and internationally.

Jawan box office collection

According to early projections from Sacnilk.com, Jawan made Rs 75 crore on Day 1 across all languages. The film collected Rs 65 crore nett in Hindi, Rs 5 crore nett in Telugu and Rs 5 crore nett in Tamil. The movie's overall attendance on Thursday in the Hindi version was 58.67%. The night shows had the highest occupancy rate, which was 69.34%. Notably, Chennai had the most occupancy in the Hindi version at 81 percent, while Surat had the lowest at 44.50 percent. 

Jawan vs Pathaan

Jawan has surpassed SRK's Pathaan collections which was 54.3 on day 1. In addition to having the highest opening day performance ever for a Bollywood film, Jawan is expected to have the highest four-day weekend performance ever.

About Jawan

Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, the film stars Vijay Sethupathi as a baddie and Nayanthara makes her Bollywood debut. The film also has Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt in cameo appearances. Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Sunil Grover, Lehar Khan, and Aaliyah Qureshi are among other cast members.
