Atlee, who has made all his films super hits, was at the receiving end from the beginning for getting inspired by many films. The stories of all his films had similarities with other movies and some of the sequences were called out for uncanny resemblance with yesteryear hit films.

Cinephiles were eager to know what he was going to make when he announced Jawan with Shah Rukh Khan. The teaser and trailer impressed fans of the Bollywood star, but left a few raising their eyebrows as they felt it was the mishmash of a few south Indian movies.

The movie has minted huge money at the box office on day one and surpassed SRK's Pathaan comfortably. The action drama is expected to rake in the moolah in the coming days as well, going by the advance booking in several territories. However, that hasn't deterred many cinephiles from criticizing Atlee.

Bollywood fans are going gaga over the execution, emotional aspects and grandeur of the film, but Tamil movie lovers are pointing out the similarity Jawan shares with a few Kollywood films.

Mersal to Sardar to Anniyan, all in one

Several tweeps took to Twitter to say that Jawan is a mixture of storylines and scenes taken from Arrambam, Mersal, Sardar, Bigil, Kaththi, Ramana, Vivegam, Citizen and Kandasamy among others. However, there are those who support Atlee as he has managed to come up with an entertaining story.

Movie buffs are now curious to know which project the director is going to take up next. It is heard that he was in talks with Allu Arjun and NTR for a Telugu movie, but nothing has been finalized.
